SAW Variety Showcases at The Epicure, Fairfax, VA.
2nd & 4th Wednesdays 8 pm

Local Art, Outdoor Hookah, Beer, Wine, Appetizers, Greek Specialties, Salads, Sandwiches, Subs, Pasta, Desserts--Ask about The Gourmet Musical Pizza!

Showcase performers/acts sign up online and are guaranteed stage time to perform three songs starting at 8 pm. Original songs and cover songs are welcome.

This showcase event is not an open mic; however, it is followed by a late-night, show-up, sign-up open mic.

Performers-What to bring:
If you sign up, commit to make great efforts to attract fans/diners/friends/family to enjoy the evening, not just your portion of the show. Do not expect a "regular audience." You are not expected to fill the room (as you would for a full-fledged gig), but be sure to round up at least a table or two of fans to make the night a success.

Bring your own guitar cable/instrument cable to run your instrument through the house P.A. unless you intend to mike your guitar.

Venue provides P.A. system w/ TWO mikes, Lester acoustic spinet piano, and a house guitar.

Bring any additional amplification equipment you wish to use.

Bring CD's to sell, trade, or give away, and bring your email list to recruit new fans.

The showcase evening begins at 8 pm. Sometimes time frames have to be shifted.

Showcase signups are welcome to perform additional songs during the open mic after the showcases.

If you request a vacant three-song showcase slot, make sure I confirm.

Dual CD-Release Celebration: Scott Malyszka and Tom Bodine have new recordings! Marcy Cochran of Dead Men's Hollow will accompany them and also take the spotlight for part of the show.

The WAMMIE-winning bluesman, recipient of multiple-WAMMIE nominations, has been missed greatly as he and his wife Ellen have been touring the country for several years. The former president of RestonHerndonFolkClub.com will be share the showcase evening with current members of the folk club.
Members only! TWO songs each, originals and/or covers.
Extended set by Ray Kaminksy w/ Fast Eddie, preceded and followed by folk club friends.
