One Last Letter to Santa © 2005, Loralyn Coles, BMI (on Holiday Feast 8, Hungry For Music)
I know I’m too old to write to Santa It’s been years since I left my childhood But I still know how that letter gonna start “Dear Santa, I’ve been very, very good”
Well Santa, you’re shocked, no doubt, to get this The spelling’s good; there’s no backward “e’s” And I know you’re busy making all those toys But don’t toss it aside, Santa, please
‘Cause I could use a little more hugs and kisses A little more chocolate, and of far greater worth A little more peace in my heart to help bring A little more peace on earth
This year has been a hard one for me, Sir I’ve reached the end of what I know to do So I’m writing you even though I’m all grown up You’re a sign that miracles can come true
And I could use a little more hugs and kisses A little more chocolate, and of far greater worth A little more peace in my heart to help bring A little more peace on earth
One last letter to Santa At the North Pole, top of the world One way to say, I love what you do P.S. I still believe, thank you
We all could use a little more hugs and kisses A little more chocolate, and of far greater worth A little more peace in our hearts to help bring A little more peace on earth Please bring a little more peace to our hearts to help bring A little more peace on earth
